TX Tunes
This allows you to test new tunes for the transmitter. Press the
button to play a tune. Edit the string description of the tune in the
right column to change the tune.
Once you have a change you want to make permanent then the tune will
need to be changed in the StreamingGPSTransmitter source code.
There is a general guide to the RTTTL
language on
Wikipedia, although we have not implemented all aspects of it in
the transmitter.
Here are the key elements of what we implement
- The preamble before colon sets the defaults for the tune
- b=NNN is the "beats per minute" setting, which is the primary
speed control
- o=N is the default octave. Higher numbers are higher frequency
- d=N is the default note duration
- Each note has a letter in a, b, c, d, e, f, g
- Before the note you can put a duration divider. A larger
number makes the note shorter
- After each note you can put an octave for the note
- A # makes the note a sharp (half octave up)
- A . make the note 50% longer
- Optionally use commas between notes
